Donetsk Region

The situation in the Donetsk region remains critical, with Russian forces maintaining offensive pressure and achieving significant advances.

  • Velyka Novosilka is under complete Russian control, confirmed by both Ukrainian and Russian sources. Video evidence shows soldiers of the 40th Guards Marine Brigade raising the Russian flag in the settlement.
  • The situation in Pokrovsk and Toretsk is increasingly precarious.
  • Pokrovsk: Russian forces are within 3 kilometers of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast administrative border and have reportedly cut off one of the two routes from Krasnoarmiisk (Pokrovsk) to Dnipro. Explosions were heard near a stele 30 km from Pokrovsk, indicating the proximity of the conflict to the Dnipropetrovsk region.
  • Toretsk: Ukrainian defenses are nearing collapse, with less than 15% of the city under Ukrainian control. Battles are taking place in the northern part of the city. Ukrainian forces report battles for the "Toretska" mine, with 90-95% of the city under Russian control. WarGonzo reports that Toretsk will soon be renamed Dzerzhinsk.
  • Chasiv Yar: Russian forces control approximately 20% of the refractory plant and about half of the city's urban area, including the Novyi district. Fighting continues in the Sievernyi district. Russian forces have reportedly cleared the Novosjeverny district and the summit of the "Block-9" spoil tip at the refractory plant. Heavy flamethrower systems TOS-1A "Solntsepek" crews reportedly destroyed strongholds of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Chasiv Yar. Ivanovo paratroopers are using the TOS-1A "Solntsepek" to attack concentrations of militants in Chasiv Yar. A video from the "Diary of a Paratrooper" Telegram channel shows the use of the TOS-1A "Solntsepek" against Ukrainian positions in Chasiv Yar.

The enemy is paying special attention to this area, with the most motivated units defending it. The enemy's positions are equipped with engineering structures. The area directly covers Krasnoarmiisk (Pokrovsk) and Dmytrov (Myrnohrad). The enemy units are supported by urban infrastructure. The main defensive positions are located on the dominant heights. The enemy units are constantly replenished with personnel and reserves. The enemy is conducting defensive battles in the area of Sukhyi Yar, Lysivka, on the heights and along the two railway branches on the flanks. Despite the active work of Russian artillery, every advance is made with great effort. Some Russian FPV drones are operating deep in the enemy's defenses, up to Rodynske. In the area of Lysivka and Sukhyi Yar, the enemy is introducing reserves and periodically counterattacking. The main efforts of the Russian command are focused on flanking the agglomeration: in the area of Dmytrovo (Kotlyne), where Russian units are attacking and advancing in the direction of the M30 (E50) highway and Vozdvyzhenka, north of which Russian units are consolidating in the area of the road junction of the highway to Konstantynivka. The situation in the area is relatively static. Fierce battles are ongoing for Lysivka, where, by introducing reserves, Russian forces are squeezing the enemy out of the northern part, for the strong point north of Zelene, west of Chunyshyn and Novoandriivka, and in the direction of Sukhyi Yar along the railway branches. Members of the organization spread their propaganda through a YouTube channel, a Telegram community, and propaganda leaflets, which were posted in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Odesa, and Donetsk regions. In their materials, they manipulatively formed a negative attitude towards the Ukrainian military. Propagandists urged people not to join the army, imposing the idea that others should fight. They also actively promoted the narrative that one should not donate to drones, thermal imagers, and other needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Separately, in their publications, they used emotional statements, allegedly on behalf of women, in order to persuade the wives of conscripts to resist mobilization. They convinced men to avoid service, spreading the idea that fighting was not their duty. The examination confirmed that the videos and leaflets distributed by the organization contain signs of destructive information and psychological influence aimed at undermining the mobilization campaign and obstructing the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During 19 searches in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Odesa, law enforcement officers seized propaganda materials, equipment, communist literature
