Archived operational intelligence briefing
The military situation in Ukraine remains critical and highly dynamic, with intense fighting concentrated in the Donetsk and Kursk regions. Russian forces are making significant advances across multiple fronts, particularly in the Donetsk region, where they have achieved a complete encirclement of Velyka Novosilka and are making substantial progress in Pokrovsk, Chasiv Yar, and Toretsk. Ukrainian defenses in Toretsk have nearly collapsed, with less than 15% of the city remaining under their control. The Ukrainian counteroffensive in the Kursk region has stalled, and Russian forces are consolidating their control, repelling Ukrainian counterattacks, and inflicting heavy losses. Drone warfare remains a dominant feature, with extensive activity reported across multiple regions, including new reports of drone activity in Sumy, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Odesa, Zhytomyr and Kyiv regions and confirmed attacks deep inside Russian territory. Air raid alerts have been issued in Kyiv and six regions of Ukraine (Kyivska, Chernihivska, Poltavska, Sumska, Cherkaska, Kirovohradska), with the threat of ballistic missile attacks and drone attacks. The Ukrainian Air Force reports the downing of 57 enemy UAVs and has reported a new group of drones moving through Kyiv Oblast in a western direction, posing a threat to Zhytomyr Oblast. The Ukrainian General Staff reports increased Russian assault activities on the Kramatorsk and Toretsk axes and a total of 1,080 combat clashes in the past week, with the Pokrovsk axis experiencing the highest number of attacks (488).

As a result of the detonation of explosives, 12 civilians have already died, including children. At the Kherson axis, Ukrainian forces have repelled 1 Russian army assaults.
Dnipropetrovsk:
Sumy: Infrastructure facilities were damaged in Sumy and the surrounding region following explosions. Several explosions were reported in Sumy.
Ryazan: There are reports of a new attack on the oil refinery near Ryazan, with video evidence of a fire. Governor Pavel Malkov confirmed the drone attack on the region, stating that several drones were destroyed and there were no casualties. The Ukrainian General Staff confirms the repeated attack on the Ryazan oil refinery, stating that the operation was carried out by the Unmanned Systems Forces and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Ivano-Frankivsk: The region was under massive attack, targeting critical infrastructure. The Ukrainian Air Force reports a threat of attack drones in the Ternopil region from Khmelnytskyi.
Ingushetia: A fire at a power substation in Ingushetia left over 62,000 people without electricity.
Zaporizhzhia: The number of wounded from a Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia has risen to two. Ukrainian forces are reportedly shelling Tokmak in the Zaporizhzhia region using MLRS, according to Russian sources. An air raid alert has been declared in the Zaporizhzhia region. F-16s were spotted flying in the Zaporizhzhia direction. Last week, two F-16 fighter jets were observed in the south of the Ukrainian-occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region. The planes flew towards the Pology district, turned around, and flew back. The exact take-off area is unknown. However, there are only a few airfields capable of accommodating F-16s. Most likely, the route was as follows: F-16s were previously transferred from Poland to an airfield in Ivano-Frankivsk or Lutsk. From there, they could have moved to Ozerny in the Zhytomyr region or Vasylkiv in the Kyiv region. Vasylkiv, by the way, is one of the first airfields modernized for American aircraft. From there, they could easily fly to the Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions, practice flight routes, use several jump bases, and simulate strikes on Russian cities. Until now, F-16s have rarely been seen in eastern Ukraine. Previously, they were regularly observed in western Ukraine, occasionally flying into the Myrhorod area. Last week, they were active in Zaporizhzhia. And, most likely, these were training flights to practice the scenario of their use in combat. Since the transfer of the fighters, they have not been used for their intended purpose. At the Orikhiv axis, clashes were reported near Kamyanske. A high-speed target is reported in the direction of Zaporizhzhia from the east. Another high-speed target is reported in the direction of Pivdenne. The air alert in the Zaporizhzhia region has been canceled. Any road in the Zaporizhzhia direction is under constant surveillance by Ukrainian drones.
